Delmar- John J. Manning, Jr., 67, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023.

John is predeceased by his father John, sister Dianne, brother James, and niece Michelle.
John is a lifelong Bethlehem resident, 1975 Bethlehem High School graduate, and a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. John took immense pride in his career as a Chef and local business owner with the highlight of his career being the opening and successful run of Manning's Menu in Glenmont for years. Many of you can recall your go-to order, and to his last day, John could, too.
For all John's accomplishments and sources of pride, he struggled later in life. For those he may not have been able to voice it to directly, he loved you and appreciated your support. May we all reminisce about the good old days - be it Thanksgiving or Christmas parties, Tug Hill snowmobile trips, working on the John Deere, splitting firewood with the boys, going for rides in the Corvette or Challenger or hanging out in front of the fireplace. As Bob Seger said, "We were young and strong, we were runnin' against the wind."
Visitation will be held at Cannon Funeral Home 2020 Central Ave. Colonie on Friday September 15th from 11-1. A celebration of life will follow the service in more of John's style.
