John R. Geisler

EAST GREENBUSH - John R. Geisler, 74, died on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Rosewood Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in East Greenbush after a long illness.

He was born in Troy, NY, and was employed by the State of New York as a computer programmer for many years.  He is survived by his sister, Carol (John) Beach, and nieces and nephews Richard (Christi) Young, Janice (Robert) Lugo, Stephanie Jorgenson, Margaret (Jonathan) McPherson, and Peter Beach, and grandnieces and grandnephews Joshua Jorgenson, Caroline McPherson, Kindle Young, and Morrison Young.  He was predeceased by his sister, Joan (Ronald) Young.

John loved to read, especially science fiction, mysteries, and history.  He enjoyed computers, television, and tracking the weather.  He was a kind man and will be dearly missed.
