Joann M. Mitchell

Schenectady – JoAnn Marie Mitchell, 84, of Schenectady, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 01, 2020 at the Grand @ Guilderland.

She was born in Dodgeville, NY and was the daughter of the late Harry and Mildred Darling Quackenbush. JoAnn had worked as a budget analyst with the US Army.

JoAnn worked for Hickam Air Force Base and Pearl Harbor in the finance department of the government, as well as in Albany New York and at Fort Drum. She loved her dogs and cats. She loved to play games and knit and made lots of sweaters and Christmas stocking for her family. She was a breast cancer survivor and withstood a bout of Covid 19 as well.

She is survived by her two sons; Randy Fay of Schenectady and Scott Fay of Virginia. She is the grandmother of Justin Fay and Jillian Fay.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to NENY Alzheimer Foundation, 4 Pine West Plaza #405, Albany, NY 12205 in memory of JoAnn M. Mitchell.
