LATHAM – Jennifer E. Stevens Goronsky, 51, of Latham, passed away peacefully following a brief battle with cancer, on Sunday November 19, 2023 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Albany and is the beloved daughter of William and Maureen Rainis Stevens. Jennifer was a 1989 graduate of Niskayuna High School. She loved to laugh, had a beautiful smile and was an amazing friend to so many. A selfless advocate for those with special needs, Jennifer always found the good in everyone. She was a property manager for Burns Management where she quickly became a trusted confidant and friend. Jennifer loved unconditionally and fought fiercely for others, without hesitation. She was at her happiest surrounded by her family, particularly at Sunday Dinners at her parents’ home.
Jennifer is the wife of Mike Goronsky. She is the devoted mother of Alexis (Josh) Blaauboer, Michael Goronsky and Ryan Goronsky. She is the dear sister of William (Mindy) Stevens, Kevin (Tracey) Stevens, Kim (Peter) Namkoong, Scott (Lisa) Stevens, Michael (Cathie) Stevens and the late John E. Stevens. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Jennifer’s family on Friday, November 24, 2023 at St. Clare’s Church, 1947 Central Ave., Colonie from 4 to 7pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 9:00 am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 607 Central Ave, Albany. Entombment will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
