Janet M. Plouman

GUILDERLAND – Janet M. Plouman, 87, of Guilderland, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 03, 2021 at St. Peter’s Hospital.

She was born in Green Island and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen Polaro. Janet was a clerk with NYS Criminal Justice Services. She enjoyed many family trips to Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Daytona Beach and other east coast beaches. She also enjoyed an occasional weekend vodka, especially screwdrivers. She also enjoyed local casinos, the music of Elvis Presly and Michael Jackson and her Volkswagen convertible. Janet was a wonderful cook and enjoyed family gatherings. She will miss us all, but not as much as we will miss her.

Janet is the beloved wife of James W. Stanco. She is the devoted mother of William (Roseann)Plouman of Bethlehem, Elizabeth Plouman (Danielle Bennett) of Latham, Lynn Rigney of Troy and stepson, James Stanco of Little Elm, TX. She was the grandmother of Michelle (Jason) Lecuyer of Schenectady, Jennifer Rigney of Cohoes, Kyle (Kayleigh) Rigney of Latham, Cody Rigney of Troy, Alexandrea Plouman, Krista Plouman, Nicholas Plouman  all of Bethlehem as well as the step grandmother of William Stanco of Denver, CO. Janet was the great grandmother of Tyler Lecuyer, Chase Lecuyer Charley Mooney, Jordan Lore, Mark Lore and Olivia Rigney.
