Janet A. Bedian

October 20, 1951 — November 28, 2022

Janet A. Bedian, 71, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 28, 2022 at Saratoga Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Schenectady, Janet is the daughter of the late Chester and Catherine Podbielski and sibling to Nancy Plunkett, Gary Podbielski  and the late Wayne Podbielski.

She settled close to home and had her two children, Jeffrey and Amanda Bedian, but never lost her adventurous spirit. Janet dedicated forty years to the New York State Department of Transportation, and in her free time enjoyed experimenting with different kitchen gadgets and trying new recipes. Janet was always happy to have a cup of tea and good conversation with friends and family. A generous person, Janet supported various charities including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the Make a Wish Foundation, and the Wounded Warrior Project.

She loved all animals and caring for the family golden retrievers, Boomer and Tottie. The true joy of Janet’s life were her darling and beloved grandchildren Jonathan, Emily, and Anna. You may not have known Janet Bedian but her generosity, thoughtfulness, adventurous spirit and tenacity have been passed on to her children and grandchildren. Janet's legacy is more than enough for any good life and our appreciation and love for her will never fade.
