Jane E. Senecal

WESTMERE – Jane Elizabeth Senecal, 91, passed away at the home of her son James on Sunday, June 3, 2018. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Catherine Dayton. Jane was predeceased by her husband Joseph N. Senecal.

She was a longtime supporter and member of the Guilderland Democratic Party. Jane graduated from Vincentian Institute in Albany in 1945 She loved being with friends and family at her camp on Sacandaga Lake. Jane was devoted to the service of her church, Christ the King and to anyone in need. She often delivered meals on wheels to those younger than she.

Jane was predeceased by her daughter Jo-Ann. She is survived by three sons, Joseph (Kimberly), Jeffrey (Mary Alice) and James (Maryann) Senecal. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday morning at 9:15 at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave. Colonie then to Christ the King Church, Westmere at 10:00 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home. The parish family of Christ the King will gather for a service of prayer and remembrance at 4:30. All are welcome. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Jane’s name to Capital City Rescue Mission, 259 S.
