Jan M. Koenig

Glenmont - Jan M. Koenig, 66, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2021, surrounded by loved ones. Jan was born in Catskill, NY on November 17,1954 to parents, (the late) Edward DelVecchio and (survived) Marjorie DelVecchio.

Jan is survived by her daughter, Kara Koenig; her husband, Thomas Koenig; nephew, Paul Michael DelVecchio; and niece, Lisa Raymond. She is predeceased by her brother, Paul Delvecchio, and loving cousin, Michael Debenedictis; as well as several other cousins that she cherished.

Jan loved being with friends and family. She took joy in sailing, hiking, running, vacationing around the world and relaxing by her pool. Jan was a Registered Nurse her entire working life and found such happiness in helping so many people over the years. Jan was not only a mother, daughter, sister and wife, but she was a best friend, a great listener, a confidant, a soulmate, a shoulder to cry on and a healer. Jan will best be remembered for her huge heart and contagious laugh.
