TROY – James L. Nasser, 64, of Troy, passed away on Sunday, September 05, 2021 at the Inn of Community Hospice with his beloved wife at his side.
James was born in Bristol, TN and grew up in Fort Lauderdale. He proudly served in the US Navy on the USS Tuscaloosa where he gained the nickname “Big”. Those who knew him will know why. James was a manufacturing associate with Comfortex in Watervliet for many years. He loved his cherished animals. Music was a huge part of James’ life and he was an avid guitar player.
James is the beloved husband of twenty years to Catherine Dugan Nasser. He is the stepfather of Jason (Erica) Reedy and Grandpa James to Taylor and Jayden. He was the brother of the late Jeffrey Bowers. Nephew of Imogene Bowers (late Edgar). Cousin of Mike (Brenda) Bowers. Dear friend of Maureen Robertson and Kevin Connors. He will be dearly missed by his canine companions, Noodles and Kingston.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with James' family beginning at 10:30 am on Thursday morning at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. A prayer service will be offered at 12:00 pm at the funeral home Entombment will follow at Saratoga National VA Cemetery.
