James Anthony Huskie, Sr., age 75, passed away unexpectedly on July 14, 2023.
Jim was born August 16, 1947 in Albany, NY. He graduated from Colonie Central.
Jim worked hard his whole life and set the bar high in the food service industry. Daka and then Compass food service group. He was regional manager then consultant for them across the country.
When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed telling stories, going to car shows & playing golf with his friends Nate and Steve. He had just recently hit a "Hole In One" which for anyone who golfs, you know is rare and a pretty big deal. He would tell you it was one of the best moments in his life.
His love of golf paled in comparison however, to what he considered his greatest achievement, his family. The love he had for his family was immeasurable. To his friends, coworkers and those he held dear to him, his sincerity, kindness and loyalty were pure. Jim was also a very generous soul. He looked after so many in his lifetime. It was important to him to make sure the people he cared about always had what they needed. Not because he had to but because he wanted to. It was just how he was built. Jim was respected, appreciated and loved by so many, rightfully so. His absence among us will leave a tremendous void that we are now left to fill with great stories and past memories of a truly great man who lived an exceptional life. He will be so very missed.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Homer Huskie and Mary Criniti and his daughter Kimberly Anne.
He is survived by his lovely wife of 56 years Janet Huskie. His brother Steve Huskie. His three sons James "Jim" Jr. (Christina), Jeff and Jason (Suzy). Grandchildren Sierra (Trevor), Katie (Christopher), Savannah, Summer and Jeffrey Jr. Great Grandchildren Julian and Jack.
Per Jim's request, there will be no service. However, if you would like to make a donation in his name to Parkinson’s research www.michaeljfox.org, we are certain he would be very honored.
