Jacques L. Begin

COLONIE – Jacques L. Begin, 61, of Colonie, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 07, 2021 at the Inn of Community Hospice, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Schenectady and is the son of Gisele Begin and the late Joseph A. Begin. Jacques was a heavy equipment operator for many years, most recently with Logistics One in Selkirk. He loved spending time with his devoted family, fishing, cigars, basketball and the Great Sacandaga Lake camp. He was an avid fan of the LA Rams and the New Jersey Devils. Jacques cherished his time with his much-loved grandson, Avery.

Jacques is the beloved husband of thirty-six years to Karen McCormick Begin. He is the devoted father of Jason D. Begin and Joshua (Amanda) Begin. He is the proud Grandpa of Avery Begin. Jacques is the brother of Rodney (Karen) Begin. He is the son in law of Lois McCormick (late Donald). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Jacques was predeceased by his niece Melissa.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Jacques’ family on Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. A Celebration of Jacques life will begin at 4:00pm with an opportunity for sharing and remembrances. The family has asked that everyone kindly wear a mask while attending the services.
