Albany – Jacqueline Notar, 57, passed peacefully on Thursday, January 5, 2023.
When Jacky’s children were young, she ran a daycare. She also worked in catering and food service as a sous chef thereafter, and then became a home healthcare caregiver up until she became ill in October.
When her grandson was born in 2021, she went part-time as a home health caregiver to be with Ronald Jr. who was Nannie’s “best friend” and they learned, crafted, and cooked together every day.
Jacky showed her love by cooking. She was such a great cook and baker, although she would disagree that she couldn’t bake at all! Jacky’s true passion however was her family and she spent all her spare time with them.
Jacky is predeceased by her parents, Audrey and Frank Genevieve, and her daughter Sydney Notar. She is survived by her sons Ronald A. (Stephanie) Notar, Garrett M. (Hayley Griffin) Notar, her grandson Ronald Notar, Jr., as well as her sisters Susan (Paul) Archambault, and Michelle Genevieve, and her brother Frank Genevieve, Jr.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the Gateway House of Peace and all of the wonderful workers and volunteers who cared for Jacky during the last few weeks of her life. All of the nurses and staff brought great comfort to her and her family just knowing she was being taken care of by such loving people.
