Helen M. Garrow

LOUDONVILLE – Helen M. Garrow, 88, of Loudonville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 after a short illness at the Inn of Community Hospice, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Pat and Mary Battaglia Micare. Helen was predeceased by her beloved husband of 63 years, Israel Garrow and her brothers, Joseph and Patsy Micare.

Helen enjoyed long rides, bingo, casinos and spending time with her cherished family. Helen was a member of the Colonie Village Seniors and the Joseph E. Zaloga American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

Helen is the beloved mother of Christine (John) DeWitt, Izzy (Debbie) Garrow, Carlene Garrow and Charlene Garrow. She is the sister of Mary Jane Simons. Helen is the cherished grandmother of John (Lori) DeWitt, Jason (Melynnda) DeWitt, Katy DeWitt, Robert DeFruscio (Lauren), Arthur (Kari) DeFruscio, Bobby (Michele) Garrow, Deena (Doug) Lake, Monique (Adam) Cohen, Jacqueline (Andy) Wegman and Cindy Kimmerer (Jim). She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday morning at 11:00 at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave. Colonie. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Helen’s family on Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
