Grace R. Yodis

Colonie – Grace R. Yodis passed away peacefully on October 24, 2023, at the age of 91. Grace was born in Albany to the late Augustino and Rose (Carito) Mantia.

Grace was devoted to her family and enjoyed cooking, baking, embroidery and sewing. When her children were old enough, she began working in the insurance business and became an underwriter. Once retired, she and her husband enjoyed traveling and took many bus tours and traveled extensively around the country.

Grace is survived and will be greatly missed by her children Linda R. Robinson (Budd), Elaine G. Yodis (Richard Kesel) and James C. Yodis (Jane Kearsing); two grandchildren, Lane Kesel and Corie Yodis. She is also survived by two sisters Frances Marchesini and Rose Ross, and many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents Grace was predeceased by her beloved husband James J. Yodis and brother Salvatore Mantia.

Our family would like to thank the staff at Shaker Place for the kind and compassionate care Grace received.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Avenue, Colonie. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Grace’s family prior to the service from 10 to 11 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
