Gary A. Gimondo

LATHAM – Gary A. Gimondo, 73, of Latham, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Evergreen Commons in East Greenbush.

He was born and raised in Albany and was the son of the late Salvatore A. and Wanda E. Gimondo. Gary was a graduate of St. Francis Seminary in Staten Island and Siena College. Gary retired as Assistant Director of Accounts with Albany County Dept. of Social Services where he worked for over thirty years. He was a past member of the North Colonie School District Board of Education. Gary enjoyed bowling and fishing.

Gary is survived by his wife, Linda M. Gimondo; his children, Jeffrey R.  Gimondo (Kimberly Shirk) of Raleigh, NC and Nancy C. (Timothy) VandePas of Ballston Spa. He was the proud grandfather of Viviana VandePas. Gary was the brother of Ron Gimondo, Sal Gimondo, Charlene Dzialo and the late Danny J. Gimondo. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited and may call on Thursday, November 9, 2023 from 4 to 6 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday November 10, 2023 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Latham.
