Frank J. Ackerman

TROY-  Frank J. Ackerman, 67, of Troy, passed away on Thursday January 17, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Saratoga Springs and is the son of the late Henry and Beatrice Ackerman. Frank served in the US Army from 1970 through 1973. He was a baker at Freihofer Bakery in Albany for thirty years. Frank was an avid car enthusiast. He enjoyed camping, hunting and rides in the country.

Frank is survived by his wife, Cynthia Ackerman and his stepdaughter Tara Lynn Marie Padula. He is the former husband of Jill Ackerman. He is the father of Kevin and Craig Ackerman. He is also survived by many beloved friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Frank’s family on Friday from 12 noon to 2:00 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. A prayer service will be offered at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place in the spring at Woodlawn Cemetery in East Schodack.
