COLONIE – Florence M. DeLucia, 88, of Colonie, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Schenectady Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation.
Born in Schenectady, Florence was the daughter of the late Carmello and Raphael Schembri. She was predeceased by her husband, Theodore DeLucia in 2006. Florence was a natural caregiver, always looking to help others. She was a volunteer with Community Hospice. Florence enjoyed crafts & sewing, (especially knitting newborn caps), bowling and golfing. She was a woman of strong faith and will be dearly missed by her cherished family. She was a communicant of St. Clare’s Church where she volunteered her time at the parish and loved singing in the choir.
Florence is the beloved mother of Christopher (Maryann) DeLucia and Ted (Karen) DeLucia. She is the sister of Minnie Chiccone and Frances Marentette. Florence is the grandmother of Michelle, Chris Jr., Aaron (Jonada) and Nicole DeLucia.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday morning at 9:00 at St. Clare’s Church, Colonie. Please park in the main parking lot and enter only through the main parking lot doors. Face masks are required over nose and mouth at all times and social distancing will be observed.
Entombment will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Clare’s Church, 1947 Central Ave., Albany, NY 12205 or Community Hospice of Albany, 310 S.
