Douglas S. Sharp

SCHENECTADY – Douglas S. Sharp, 72, of Schenectady, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 26, 2023 at Capstone Nursing Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing.

He was born in Schenectady and was the son of the late Herbert O. Sharp Sr. and Arlene Winfield Sharp. Doug was a 1969 graduate of Linton High School. He was a talented and creative artist. Doug loved to create beautiful paintings. He will always be remembered for his kind heart.

Doug is survived by his siblings, Herbert O. Sharp Jr., Vernon L. (Ginger) Sharp, Judith A. Sharp, Andrew J. (Jackie) Sharp. David R. Sharp and Nancy E. (Paul) Dame. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Capstone Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for making Doug feel at home. He often said he was happy there and became good friends with a particular roommate and family.
