Dorothy "Dottie" A. Pennisi

Pennisi, Dorothy (Dottie) Wilcox Lynch (91) passed away June 30 surrounded by her loving family. Dottie was born September 23, 1931, in Cohoes NY. She was predeceased by her parents James A. and Edna M. (Williams) Wilcox and her brothers Robert K and James A. Wilcox.

Dottie is survived by her children: Susan (Mark) Riley of Southport, NC, Deborah (Thomas) McDonald of Latham, NY, Barbara (Vincent) Redding of Wilton, NY, and Michael (Tarressa) Lynch of Greenfield Center NY. She is also survived by her many grandchildren, great grand-children and stepchildren.

She was wife to Raymond F Lynch and Vincent J. Pennisi (both deceased).

Dottie lived a full life. She was a devoted and loving daughter, wife, mother, Grammy and Great-Grammy.

Dottie retired after 38 years from Cohoes Memorial Hospital as a Medicare specialist.

In her younger years, she spent summers with her family building fond memories camping in Lake George.

Later in life, Dottie became an active member of the Troy Elks. She devoted much of her time to ensuring everyone in attendance had fun. She also looked forward to planning and running road trips with her Wynantskill Seniors.

When she moved to Hearthstone Village, she brought back her love for playing cards, dominoes and pinochle with “her girls”.

Dottie will always be remembered for her kindness. She went out of her way to make sure everyone felt welcome.

Dottie’s family would like to thank the staff at Glendale Nursing Home for all their love and compassion.

As per Dottie’s request, services will be private. The Interment will be at Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
