Dorothy C. Sherwood

COLONIE – Dorothy “Dottie” Cudemo Sherwood, 71, of Colonie, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at St. Peter’s Hospital.

Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Anthony J. and Dorothy M. (Theriault) Cudemo. Dorothy was a self-employed beautician for many years and also worked at Broadway Flower Shop in Watervliet. She loved dogs and bred Pekingese for many years. She was also very fond of pugs and cherished the many years she spent with her beloved Curly Sue.

She is the mother of Dominick Amanatides, Andrea Amanatides, and Michael Caraher Jr. Grandmother of Donovan, Brooklynn, and Savannah Fludd.

She is the sister of Nicholas (Amy) Cudemo and the late Mary Angela Slovak, Jean Palmateer-Kois, Anthony Cudemo Jr., and Peter Cudemo. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, cousins and many close friends.
