Domenic A. Apruzzese, 95, a longtime resident of Crane St., passed away Monday, September
11, 2023 at Teresian House in Albany.
Born on November 7, 1927 in Newton, MA, he was the son of Joseph and Natalina (Cellucci)
Apruzzese.
Domenic was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School and then served in the US Navy toward
the end of World War II.
He retired from the General Electric Company where he was employed as a machinist.
He was a lifelong communicant of Mount Carmel Church in Schenectady. He was a devoted
attendee at the Saturday 4:00pm Mass.
His past times included golfing every day, swimming, walking, travelling around the world and
skiing. He was also a dance instructor with Arthur Murray Dance Studio.
Besides his parents, he is pre-deceased by a brother and sister-in law-Gerardo Apruzzese and his
wife Carmela.
He leaves several nieces and nephews- Natalie (Frank) Mauriello, Joseph (Deborah) Apruzzese,
and Anna Maria (Brian) Biski, several great nieces and nephews, extended family including
Joseph and Antonio Tullio and their Families as well as friends Buddy Lupe and Jose .
Services will be private. Burial will be at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Schenectady.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Teresian House, especially the 6 th Floor, B Wing
Staff kind care and compassion.
