COLONIE – Dolores M. Saccocio, 76 of Bradenton, FL., formerly of Colonie, passed away peacefully at her son’s residence on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. She was born in Natrona, PA and was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Mae Reichert.
Dolores, along with her husband Lou, had operated Saccocio Custom Builders in Colonie for several years. Dolores was a genuine caregiver and enjoyed golfing, staying active and time with her family. She was a member of the Elks, Moose Club and American Legion Post in Bradenton. If you knew Dolores, you know she had no filter and always said what she was thinking in a fun way.
During her time in Florida Dolores started working at the concession at Monatee Golf Course. This is where she made many friends that were more family, and she was happy to feed them all with food and stories.
She is the beloved wife of 58 years to Louis A. Saccocio. Dolores is the mother of Louis (Christine) Saccocio, Michael Saccocio and Christopher (Kimberly) Saccocio. She is the sister of Kathleen (Donald) Guthan. Dolores is the cherished Nana of Anthony, Vincent, Joseph, Nicholas, Michael, and Mikayla. She is the great grandmother of Vanessa. Dolores was predeceased by her sisters, Joan (Ted) Meixselberger and Phyllis Carpentier.
