Denise M. Fernald

EAST GREENBUSH – Given only six months to live 9 years ago, Denise lost her valiant fight against MBC4 on April 4, 2022.

Denise is survived by her children, McKenzie Kane, Cassondra and Billy Joe Peasley; her father Terence Fernald, Mema to Ava and beloved cat Spooky. Other family members remain as well. She was predeceased by her mother Rose Wilkinson, Godmother and Guardian Angel Sharon Rockenstire and many others.

At 54, her life can’t be defined by the jobs she had but more by her spirit. Knitting blankets for babies/animals, always putting the needs of others before hers, her love for Maine, SF 49ers, casinos, her faith and her daily gratitude and fighting more than most could ever do to defy all the odds and live!

Special thanks to her life savers, Dr. Maria Theodoulou, Colleen Murray NP, Francis and NYOH team and Hospice Inn staff. Their endless efforts are why she beat the odds.
