Dawn M. Ruede

COLONIE – Dawn M. Ruede, 78, of Colonie, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 01, 2021 at St. Peter’s Hospital.

Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Anita Fink. Dawn was a 1960 graduate of Colonie Central High School.  Dawn was a member of the Fuller Road Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.  She was a homemaker whose heart and soul was dedicated to her husband and children.  She always ensured home was a place of love and comfort, where strong family values were instilled, and laughter and good times were to be had.  We are fortunate to hold close in our hearts so many great memories.  She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Dawn is the beloved wife of 59 years to Arthur G. Ruede. She is the cherished mother of Cheri Plasse (Bill Gecewicz), Lorie (Calvin) Bellegarde and Kimberly Ann Buchan (late Daniel). She is the sister of Norma (Ronald) Alger and Norman Fink.  Dawn is the grandmother of Stephanie and Jacob Plasse; Brian and Kelly Bellegarde; Hannah and Maggie Buchan. Great grandmother of Christopher DeLessio.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Dawn’s family on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. Funeral services will be Thursday morning at 11:00 at Cannon Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
