David B. Woods

Schenectady – David B. Woods, 65, passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, September 16, 2023. Dave was born March 6, 1958, to the late James B. and Gwendolyn B. Woods.

Dave was a 1976 graduate of Mont Pleasant High School. He worked maintenance with Price Chopper, and later with Greyhound in Albany for 15 years.

He married the love of his life Mary in 1989, and they had 32 happy years together. Dave cherished his wife, children, and grandchildren most of all and loved flea market finds, car antique shows, playing the guitar, camping, and fishing.

In addition to his parents, Dave was predeceased by his sister Debra Myers and her husband, Michael Myers, uncle Robert Rice, grandma Rice, grandparents and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is survived by his loving wife Mary (Brock), his children Kevin Provost, Selena, and Michael, grandchildren, Kaelynn Provost, Kevin Provost Jr., Samere Kirkley and Lorenzo Kirkley, sister, Teresa (John) Brueggemann, brothers, Matthew (Rachel) Woods, John (Darlene) Woods, Dennis (Donna) Woods, Timothy (Kelly) Woods, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and a great-great niece and nephew.

Visitation with David’s family will be held on Saturday September 23, 2023, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm with a prayer service at 4:30 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie..
