Craig S. Bauer, 70, of St. Petersburg, FL, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2024, after several years of illness. Born on April 25, 1954, in Albany, NY, Craig was the beloved son of Robert and Marion Bauer.
Craig proudly served his country by joining the United States Coast Guard, where he was stationed in Miami, FL. During his service, he had the distinguished honor of being part of the Presidential Security detail for President Nixon during his winter residence in Key Biscayne, FL. Craig was honorably discharged after his dedicated service.
Following his military career, Craig found his true calling in sales. His passion for selling and his persuasive nature made him a standout in his field. Outside of his professional life, Craig had a love for fishing, sports, and cooking. He cherished the moments spent with his family, creating lasting memories.
Craig is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Marion Bauer, and his former wife, Tina. He leaves behind a loving family, including his three brothers, Robert, David, and Michael; his son, Christopher (Sarah); and his cherished grandchildren, Ferris and Lara. He is also survived by his Uncle Frederick W. (Evelyn) Bauer III and Aunt Janet Bauer, as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews who will miss him dearly.
A memorial service will be held in Craig's honor at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY, on October 25, 2024, at 2 p.m. Following the service, a reception and celebration of life will take place, where family and friends can gather to remember and celebrate Craig's life.
Craig's legacy of love, dedication, and passion will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
