Catherine Jean Cason

Troy – Catherine Jean Cason, our Mother, passed away on June 15, 2018 after a long illness at the Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center in Troy.

Jean, as she preferred, was born in Albany on February 16, 1927 to William and Jessie MacDonald. She raised her family in Westmere where she enjoyed her many neighborhood friends. Jean retired from New York State in 1982 after a career in payroll for various agencies. She enjoyed dancing in her younger years and outing with her family and friends.

Jean was predeceased by her forever love, Fred S. Cason Sr in February 2000 after 55 years of marriage. She is survived by her children, Sandra (Allan) Daus of Wynantskill and Fred (Roxanne) Cason of Ormond Beach Florida. She is also survived by six grandchildren, and several great and great great grandchildren.
