Casimir "Sonny" F. Rejak

COLONIE – Casimir “Sonny”  F. Rejak, 84, of Colonie, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 05, 2024 at St. Peter’s Hospital.

He was born in Albany and was the son of the late Casimir Rejak and Josephine Borowski. He was the stepson of the late John Borowski. Sonny is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Donna Dunston Rejak. He is the father of James Rejak (Toni). Grandfather of Taylor and Jimmy Rejak. He is the cherished uncle of Laurie (Doug) Holden. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Sonny was a graduate of St. Casimir’s School. He was a platemaker with the Knickerbocker News and Albany Times Union for forty-three years without ever missing a day of work. Sonny was a member of the Polish Community Center and the Kuhn Colonie Senior Citizens where he enjoyed playing pool with his many friends. He was an avid Yankees fan and enjoyed talking sports. Sonny was the epitome of a ‘good guy” and was well liked by everyone.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Sonny’s family on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave. Colonie. Funeral services will be Monday morning at 10:00 at Cannon Funeral Home thence to St. Clare’s Church, Colonie at 11:00 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
