Casimer J. Polek, Jr.

COLONIE -          Casimer “Skip” J. Polek Jr., 60, of Colonie, passed away on Thursday April 8, 2021 at Albany Medical Center Hospital.

He was born in Niskayuna and was the son of the late Casimer J. and Rosemary Polek Sr. and brother of the late Sandra Steinacher. Skip graduated from Utica Technical Institute. He was employed as an investigator with the Albany Police Dept and the Albany County District Attorney’s office. Skip enjoyed golfing and bowling. He was a caregiver to many dear family and friends. He was a fan of the New York Mets, the New York Giants and a member of the Albany Polish Club. Skip was a proud Republican.

He is survived by his brother in law Karl (Barbara) Steinacher; his nephew, Kurt (Holly) Steinacher, and lifelong friends, Keith Phillips and Mel LaRosa.
