Carolyn R. Decerce

Slingerlands – Carolyn R. DeCerce, 84, of Slingerlands, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 18, 2023 at Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home.

She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Ethel Chase Morrell and Louis DeGeorge. Carolyn was predeceased by her husband Frank G. DeCerce Jr., and her daughter Sandy Temme.

She was employed with the New York State Executive Chamber for several years. Carolyn was a longtime active member of the North Bethlehem Fire Dept. Ladies Auxilary. She enjoyed genealogy and traveling to Florida and Cape Cod.

Carolyn is the beloved mother of Rick Mallory and Steve (Deana) Mallory. She is the mother-in-law of Wayne Temme. Carolyn is the dear sister of David (Alene) DeGeorge, Claire (Joe) Bradley, Camille Schaller and Dickie (Fran) DeGeorge. She is the Jamma of Zach Temme, Garret (Alicia) Temme, Sarah (Max) Morehouse, Steven, Meghan and Jack Mallory. She is the great grandmother of Melody Morehouse. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 11:00 am at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. Visitation will be Saturday morning from 9 to 11 am at the funeral home.
