Carol S. Willis

Rensselaer – Carol S. Willis, 55, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 26, 2024.

Born in Albany, NY, Carol was the daughter of John and Alexandria (Talmadge) Nash. She grew up in East Greenbush and attended schools within the East Greenbush Central School District. Carol earned her Bachelor’s degree from SUNY Geneseo and went on to receive her Master of Science in Education from the College of St. Rose.

A dedicated educator, Carol was a reading and academic intervention services teacher in the East Greenbush Central School District. She also shared her knowledge by teaching a graduate course at the College of St. Rose.

On July 24, 1999, Carol married Peter M. Willis. Together, they created a loving home filled with laughter and support. Carol cherished her time spent with family camping and her true passion was being a devoted wife and mother to her two sons, Connor and Hayden.

Carol enjoyed traveling, hiking, snorkeling in the Caribbean, and creating lasting memories with her family. She loved animals especially her beloved dog Hayco and her flock of chickens.

Carol is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Peter Willis; her sons, Connor and Hayden; her parents, John and Alexandria Nash; her sister, Karen (Peter) Locke; and her special friend, Jessica Kurimsky.
