Carol A. Diegel

COLONIE – Carol A. Diegel, 85, of Colonie, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 13, 2022 at St. Peter’s Hospital. She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late James F. and Wanda Petrie.

Carol enjoyed baking, crocheting, watching animal programs, tending to flowers and camping for many years. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Carol is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Elmer D. Diegel. She is the dear mother of Debra L. (Kenneth) Valet Sr. and James F. (Priscilla) Diegel. Carol is the cherished grandmother of Kenneth Valet Jr. and Kayla (Tyler) Quintana. She is the dear sister of Barbara J. Petrie. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Carol’s family on Wednesday, May 18th from 4 to 7 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave. Colonie. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be private at Memory Gardens.
