COLONIE – Carmen W. Trifilo, 84, of Colonie, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 29, 2024 at Albany Medical Center. He was born in Albany and was the son of the late Rosario Trifilo and Mary Scaringe and the brother of the late Marie Morris.
Carmen served in the US Army from 1960-62. He was a laborer with Local 190 for several years. Carmen was a member of the West Albany Italian Benevolent Society, Jos. E. Zaloga American Legion Post 1520, Polish American Citizens Club and the Christ Our Light Seniors. He enjoyed following the horses and playing his numbers.
Carmen is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Marie Crisorio Trifilo; his devoted daughters, Faith (William) Scheely, Joyce Scialdone (Bruce) and Mary Bickar. He is the uncle of Andrew (Phyllis) Morris. Carmen is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Carmen’s family on Friday from 11 am to 1 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment, Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
