Cameron Leonard Michael Jones

On January 6, 2023, the angels quietly came and elevated Cameron Leonard Michael Jones, to the heavens. Cameron was affectionately known to all who knew and loved him as “Cam”. He was born December 4, 2001 in Albany, NY. He was the adored son of Latisha Miller and Mark Jones, Sr; becoming the stepson of Mark Miller, all of Albany, NY.

Educated in the Albany City School District, Cam earned a NYS Regents Diploma with certification in Culinary Arts from Albany High School graduating in 2020. He was an exceptional culinary artisan and everyone loved to enjoy his creations. He made great dishes like Rasta Pasta! Cam was a dedicated employee of Walmart and a great manager. Staff and customers loved Cameron. He was the key that fit the lock to everyone’s heart.

Cam had a great love for his mother and brightened up everyone in his presence. Cam kept a smile on his face, blushed easily, and was full of laughter and fun. Along with his beautiful smile, Cam was constantly on his cellphone, always chatting and laughing. Cam was handsome, low keyed, and loved a nice hoodie, jeans and fresh sneakers. He enjoyed life and had a kind spirit. He was humble and dedicated. He also loved music.

Cameron leaves to cherish his loving memory: his mother and father: LaTisha Miller and Mark Jones, Jr. and step father Mark Miller. His loving siblings Mark Jones, Jr of Colonie, NY, Amari Jones, Aaron Jones and Tariq Miller, all of Albany, NY; grandparents Leslie Jones Jr and Alice Jones, of Albany, NY; Aunts Karin Johnson of Detroit, MI, Gloria Johnson of Detroit, MI, Valerie Sha’kim Dare, Atlanta, Ga, Laurie Jones, Kimberly Perez, Yvonne Miller all of Albany, NY; Uncles: Leslie Jones, Jr. of Albany, NY, Michael Jones of Delmar, NY; great Aunts Virginia Dare and Valerie Dare of Albany, NY, and God parents Leonard Ellis and Dr. Brenda Robinson.

Cameron was predeceased by his grandparents Cleonia “Cookie” Johnson and Leonard Dare, Katherine Miller. Great Grandmother Mary “Shorty” Ward and Great Grandfather Wilson Johnson; and Aunt Benita Miller

Cameron is also survived by a close-nit, devoted circle who cherished him: Ziare Freeman, Chyinah Bobbitt, Ahydyanna Hector, and cousins Dayarree Pettiway, Toya “Greet” Croley, Ishaya McCarthy, and La’Nique Williams. He also leaves “Aunt” Terry Croley, Gwen Ramotar “Nana”, Sharon Arthurton, Sean (Kerry) Arthurton, and Saskie Jones. He leaves a host of cousins, friends, and loved ones.

Services will be Saturday January 14th, 2023, at the Wilborn Temple COGIC 121 Jay Street Albany, NY 12210. Visitation will be from10:00 -11:00 am, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 am.
