Beverly J. Essary

COLONIE – Beverly June Essary, 93, of Colonie, passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 29, 2022.

She was born in Watseka, Illinois on December 7, 1928, to the late Elbert and Leota Mattox. In 1960 Mrs. Essary and her husband moved to Colonie where they raised their four children. Beverly worked for the New York State Liquor Authority and Office of General Services until her retirement. She enjoyed flower gardening and spending time with her family. She was proud to be called Grandma and Great Grandma Ma.

Beverly is the beloved mother of Mary Meyl (late William). She is the mother-in-law-of Daniel Pafundi.  She is the cherished grandmother of Melissa Meyl (Scott) Lord, Nathaniel (Lindsey) Meyl and Caitlin Meyl. She is the loving great grandmother of Jack, Harper, Ronan, Conor and Patrick.

Mrs. Essary was predeceased by her former husband, Howard Essary; their children, Elbert Essary, Deborah Pafundi and Janice Essary; and her brother Richard Mattox.
