Rotterdam - Arlene Virginia Tucker (Merritt). 93, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2024. She was born June 29,1931 to Aaron Merritt and Virginia Orchard. Arlene graduated as Salutatorian of Draper High School in 1948.
She worked many years as an Administrative Assistant beginning at GE Knolls Atomic and progressed to the Wire Mill and to the Corporate Legal Division in Schenectady, retiring in 1992.
Arlene is survived by her husband William Tucker of Rotterdam, her children David Cilberti of Saratoga, Daniel Cilberti of Clifton Park, Theresa Cilberti Berry (Kevin) and granddaughter Shaylen Berry of Monrovia, CA, her brother Thomas Merritt (Debbie) of Rotterdam. She was predeceased by her brothers Aaron Merritt (Marlene), James Merritt (Marlene). She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and loving friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Arlene’s family on Friday, September 27, 2024 from 11 am to 12 noon at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. A prayer service will be held at 12:00 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Ass’n of NENY, 1003 New Loudon Rd. Suite 212, Cohoes, NY 12047 or Autism Society of Greater Hudson Region (www.asghr.org) in memory of Arlene V. Tucker.
