Anthony Evelina

Anthony (Tony) M. Evelina, 57, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at his home with his family by his side.

Born on January 23, 1963 in Patterson, NJ, he was the son of Thomas Michael and Florence Constance (Tarantino) Evelina.

Tony attended Public School 18, Passaic County Technical High School, and Passaic County Community Community College.

He owned and operated D&A Towing and Recovery in Caldwell, NJ for many years, prior to relocating to Colonie, NY.  Tony was an avid car enthusiast and also a dedicated Nascar/Kevin Harvick fan. He had a love for music with an extensive music collection. In earlier years, he had a DJ Service better known as “DJ Hollywood”. Tony volunteered for many years helping to bring answers to the families of the Missing and Unidentified. Tony also enjoyed fishing and roller skating.

He is survived by his wife Joanne, a son Anthony Evelina, Jr., of Plainsboro, NJ; step-children: Benjamin Chaires of Colonie, Maddison Garhartt of Colonie, and Joseph Russell of Schenectady; grandchildren Chloe-Anne and Rose-Lynn; a brother Thomas Evelina of Garwood, NJ; nieces and nephews: James Evelina , Brianna Evelina, Dana Evelina, and Andrew Evelina of Garwood NJ.

Services will be private. Burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa, NJ.
