Anne Schott

September 30, 1932 — April 2, 2023

NISKAYUNA – Anne Schott, 90, of Niskayuna, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 02, 2023 at St. Peter’s Hospital surrounded by the love of her family.

She was born in Washington DC and was the daughter of the late Bernard and Margaret Postal. Anne was predeceased by her husband, Harold “Hal” Schott in 1988.

Anne graduated from Barnard College in 1954.  She was a writer, teacher and frequent volunteer for a number of area charitable associations.  She worked as the Director of Communications for the NYS Nurse’s Association for 15 years before retiring.  Among her many interests, Anne loved reading, gardening, writing and trips to the beach with her extended family.

Anne is the beloved mother of Jeff Schott of Golden, CO and Andrew (Tina) Schott of Niskayuna. She is the cherished grandmother of Amanda Schott (Joe Henry) and Raymond Schott. Anne is the sister of Paul Postal (Eve) of Seattle, WA. She is also survived by a loving extended family including cousins, nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Anne’s family on Saturday afternoon from 1 to 3 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave. Colonie. A service of sharing and celebration will commence at 3:00 at the funeral home. Interment will be Monday at New Paltz Rural Cemetery.
