Anne E. Rozniewski

COLONIE – Anne E. Rozniewski, 79, of Colonie, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 08, 2019 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Eugene and M. Frances Boice. Anne was predeceased in 2012 by her beloved husband Joseph T. Rozniewski Sr.

She had worked for many years at New York State Department of Civil Service. After retiring, Anne worked with the Colonie Youth Center morning and after school program at Veeder Elementary. She was an avid New York Mets and Giants fan. Anne enjoyed several Caribbean cruises. Anne was happiest when she was basking in the joy of her cherished family.

She is the beloved mother of Frances (Walter) Jones, Joseph (Kathy) Rozniewski Jr. and Theresa (Sebastian) Cortese. Anne is the sister of the late Eugene and James Boice. She is the devoted Mimi of Brett Rozniewski, Michael Emerick, Jessica (Nicholas) Benedetto, Jennifer Emerick, Jenna (Anthony) Salerno, Courtney Jones, Gabriella and Mikaela Cortese. She is the great grandmother of Avery and Jordan Benedetto and soon to be, baby boy Salerno. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Anne’s family on Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave. Colonie. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 9:00 am at St. Clare’s Church, Colonie. Burial will follow Memory Gardens.
