Annamae Franklin

August 24, 1929 — January 22, 2018

Colonie – AnnaMae Cropsey Lyons Franklin, 88, of Colonie, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 22, 2018 at the Inn of Community Hospice. She was born in Cohoes and was the daughter of the late Edward and AnnaMae MacDuff Cropsey.

AnnaMae was a secretary for the Latham Water Department for over twenty years, retiring several years ago. She had been a deacon at the former Boght Reformed Church. AnnaMae was an avid bowler at Sunset & Redwood Lanes and Latham Bowl.

She is the former wife of the late Malcolm Lyons and William Franklin. AnnaMae is survived by her children; Linda A. Lyons (Dave Watson) and Mack Lyons (Randy Spencer). She is the sister of the late Warren, Kenneth, Howard, and Arthur Cropsey, and Shirley Rogers. She is also survived by longtime family friend, Arnis Zilgme. AnnaMae will be missed by her canine companions, Ginger and Muffin.

Funeral services will be Friday morning at 11:00 am at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12204 or The Community Hospice, Gift Processing Center, 310 S. Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208.
