COLONIE – Anita G. Albrecht, 87, of Colonie, passed away peacefully on Thursday January 12, 2023 at her residence. She was born in Gloversville and was the daughter of the late Paula Metzger.

Anita is the beloved wife of 53 years to Leon E. Albrecht. She is the devoted mother of Todd (Sharon) Ferraro, Jeff (Diane) Ferraro, Amy (Bob) Grande and Jeff (Bobbie) Albrecht. She is the cherished grandmother of Falon (Brent) Marianetti, Brandon (Emily) Ferraro, Jordan Ferraro, Nikki Ferraro, Allison Albrecht and Jonathon Albrecht. She is the great grandmother of Frankie, Leo and Tessa Ferraro. She is the sister of Shirley (Sam) Nicosia. Anita was predeceased by her first husband, the late Frank Ferraro. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Anita had worked as a dental hygienist in younger years. She was always known to be fashion forward. Anita worked with her sons for over twenty-five years at Allied Craftsmen GC Inc and Keystone Homes Inc. She had dedicated many years as a volunteer with the American Cancer Society. She relished time spent at their camp in the Adirondacks and had a great appreciation for flowers and gardening. In later years she enjoyed making jewelry but above all, she cherished her time with her loving family.

Funeral services will be private. Entombment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Anita G.
