Andrew J. Keane

Guilderland - On Wednesday, November 14, 2018, Andrew John Keane, 51, while surrounded by his loving family, passed away after a long battle with lung disease.

Andrew was the loving husband of Lori Hockfeld and dedicated father of Lauren, Jessica, and AJ Keane.  He was the son of Patricia (Beattie) and the late John; and loyal brother of Kathryn (Ramon Santana) and Karen (late Paul Mehling).  He was the son-in-law of Arlene Hockfeld and the late Tom Brooks and brother-in-law to Randy, Richie, & Jeffrey Hockfeld.  Andy was the dependable uncle to Connor & Sheila Mehling; Tricia Santana; and Rachel, Justin, Jonathan, Jason, Anita, & Sofia Hockfeld.

Andy was an avid New York Giants Fan and proud member of NA and the Ancient Order of Hibernians in America, Inc., Albany Division 5, where is was named “Rookie of the Year” in 2014.

The family would like to thank the staff of Community Hospice especially Sherry, Jennifer, Nick, and Cylon and Andy’s Hibernian brother Peter Lounsbery.

Relatives and friends are invited and may visit with Andy’s family on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave. Colonie. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning at 10:00 at Christ the King Church, 20 Sumter Ave. Guilderland. After the Mass, there will be a celebration of Andy’s life at the Albany Hibernian Hall, 375 Ontario Street.
