Alice Hedges Emigh

COLONIE – Alice Hedges Emigh, 61, of Colonie was born in Washington DC. Alice grew up in one of Sag Harbor's most iconic houses, the Gingerbread House. After graduating from Pierson High in 1976, she went to SUNY Albany to study computer science and math. After graduation in 1980, she had a 40-year career working for the State of New York in computer technology. Highly intelligent and precise, she was an avid chess player and enjoyed ice skating. She was looking forward to retiring to Long Island, but died of complications related to leukemia on Nov. 29.

She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas Hedges and Camille Fenn Hedges, aunt, Dolores Fenn, and dear friend, Herb George.

She is survived by her sister, Kathleen Hedges, and brother-in-law Walter Jon Williams.
