Alice M. Davey
February 28, 1931 — July 30, 2017
COLONIE - Alice M. Davey, 86, of Colonie, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 30, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth Lawton. In addition to raising her nine children, Alice worked at Dunkin Donuts on Wolf Rd. and later as a clerk at St. Peter’s Hospital Medical Records for many years. She was a life member of Fuller Rd. Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
Alice is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, George “Pete” T. Davey Sr. She is the devoted mother of Mary “Sue” (Michael) Haller, Deborah (Roy) Stiles, Jeana (Joseph) Laniewski, George “Pete” (Paula) Davey Jr., Lori (Pete) Benedetto, Michael (Tracy) Davey, Sandy (Jeff) Canastra, Cindy (Gus) Szesnat and Louis (Megan) Davey. She is also survived by her cherished 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be Wednesday morning from 9 to 11 am at Christ Our Light Catholic Church, 1 Maria Drive, Loudonville. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:00 am at Christ Our Light Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
