Troy - Alexander J. “Alex” Ziembiec, 26, passed away Saturday November 26, 2022 at St. Peter’s Hospital.
Alex was born on September 18, 1996 in Albany, NY.
He grew up in Guilderland and was a graduate of Bishop Magin High School in Albany.
Music was Alex’s lifetime passion. He was an accomplished drummer and self-taught guitarist.
He toured around the country multiple times as the original drummer with Prince Daddy and the Hyena, making new friends for life everywhere he went.
He leaves his father Stephen (Catherine) Ziembiec of Milwaukee, WI, his mother Kristine A. (Gary) Greco of Boynton Beach, FL; brother Brian Ziembiec of Troy; maternal grandfather Robert Kokes of IL; paternal grandparents Thomas and Christine Ziembiec of Buffalo; an aunt Kathy Kokes; uncles James Kokes and Joseph Kokes; many great aunts and great uncles; god parents Caroline Saccone and Louis Ziembiec; a close lifelong friend John Bryce; and many, many, dear friends. His maternal grandmother Jacqueline Kokes and his aunt Karen Kokes both pre-deceased him.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, November 29 from 4:00pm to 6:30pm with a concluding prayer service at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Avenue, Colonie.
