Adriana M. Truesell

Colonie – Adriana M. Truesell, 20, of Colonie passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Albany Medical Center after complications from leukemia.

She was born in Albany and is the cherished daughter of Anthony Truesell Sr. and Emilia DiCarlo. Adriana is the sister of Austin, Anthony Jr. and Nino Truesell. She is the beloved maternal granddaughter of Sante and Carmela DiCarlo. Paternal granddaughter of the late John and Mary Truesell.  Adriana is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. She will be missed by beloved canine companions, Gracie and Trooper.

A 2016 graduate of Colonie High School, Adriana loved late night playing Call of Duty with her father under the guise of bangbang518. Adriana was a remarkable fighter, never complaining during her illness and frequently stated “I got this.”  She had a positive spirit and will that have served as a guiding light for her family. Adriana was a funny, kind and compassionate young woman and she will be dearly missed.

Funeral services will be Friday morning at 8:15 at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie then to Blessed Sacrament Church at 9:00 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Adriana’s family on Thursday from 4 to 7 pm at Cannon Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Albany Medical Center (for the benefit of the Melody Center), 43 New Scotland Ave. MC 119, Albany, NY 12208 in memory of Adriana Truesell.
