Rosemary Kennedy

Loudonville - Rosemary Kennedy age 95 died peacefully on Monday, May 17, 2021 in her home at Eddy Village Green, a wonderful, caring, and loving community in Cohoes, New York. Rosemary was born in Albany, New York to Rosemary and Thomas Ryan and was one of two children. She was preceded in death by her parents, beloved brother Thomas and his wife Alice Ryan. Rosemary was also preceded in death by her beloved husband Frank R Kennedy, her son John F Kennedy, and his wife Haila Kennedy. Rosemary is survived by her son Royal T Kennedy and his wife Amy S Kennedy. She welcomed four grandchildren Heather Rose (Matthew) Amarante, Aaron (Jamie Kennedy), John (Joan) Kennedy, and Alex Kennedy, along with two great grandchildren Liliana Rose Amarante and Jack Joseph Kennedy. In addition Rosemary is also preceded in death by niece Patricia Mazzarillo, nephews William and Francis Ryan, and Ronald Langdon. Rosemary is survived by nieces and nephews Mary Paulson, Thomas Ryan, Paul Ryan, Lawrence Langdon, Christine Langdon, Laurie Langdon, and Richard Langdon.

Despite many physical challenges starting in 2012 she always wore a beautiful smile and had a caring and loving attitude for everyone. Rosemary was a very special and kind person. There was always room in her heart for everyone. Many of life’s most important lessons were learned from her. The family would like to thank and express their love for Liz Langdon and Rosanne Biondo for their continuous love and devotion. Rosemary considered both as her own daughters.

Rosemary’s family would like to extend their sincere appreciation for the love and compassion provided to her by her caregivers at Eddie Village Green House 16, especially Erika, Star, Kathy, and Virginia.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited and may call on Monday, May 24, 2021 from 2:30pm to 4pm at Cannon Funeral Home at 2020 Central Avenue, Albany, NY 12205. A service will be held at 4pm led by Father Brian Kelly at Cannon Funeral Home. The interment will be held on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 10am at Memory Gardens Cemetery at 983 Watervliet Shaker Road, Albany, New York 12205.
